My wife and I recently spent our anniversary weekend at the Grand Hotel...we could not have been happier! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the room was great, and the food at Ricks Chophouse (located on the first floor) was wonderful. 5 stars all the way around. We will definitely be back!

The Grand is everything you want in a boutique hotel. Service is exceptional and warm. The location is in old downtown McKinney which now features shops, cafes, and fine dining at Rick's Chophouse. If you are ever in McKinney make The Grand Hotel your lodging choice!

We stayed overnight for our anniversary. We had dinner downstairs at Rick's chophouse. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was charming. After dinner walked out into the square. There is so much to do within walking distance of this hotel!! Ended the night back at the hotel lounge with live music. Such a great experience. Fun night life and plenty of places to choose from for brunch the next day.

My husband and I loved our stay at this hotel. From our arrival to our checkout we felt welcome. The location was perfect for eating at all the downtown options. Since the Home for the Holidays event was going on downtown we had the convenience of going out to the event and bringing back anything we bought to our room or running up to the restroom. The room was comfortable and clean and we loved the option of room service. We loved our stay, it was a nice getaway even though we are locals!

I am very familiar with the property as I lived in McKinney for 15 years until recently. I was back in town for a few days and meeting a friend for some "girl time". I chose this location so we wouldn't have to drive at night and still have options to shop and eat within walking distance. Everything from check-in to check-out was great. No issues at all. The entire staff was pleasant, engaging, and accommodating. I will give extra accolades to Samantha (front desk). After checking in, I had an apt at 4 pm and she asked if everything was fine with my room. I said it was fine, except (and I wasn't complaining!) that it would have been nice to have a desk or table in the room area, maybe even a mirror because 2 women would be sharing the room. Lo and behold when I returned there was a small desk with a mirror hanging above it! OMG, I was floored. Again, I did not say it as complaining, only as a suggestion for the future. They do offer hot, made-to-order breakfast daily and there is an amazing Steakhouse on site. Rick's will rival in quality (and price) anything in Dallas, and their cozy bar has always been a favorite of mine. Room service was offered, it was good, prompt, and reasonably priced. There is no reason why I wouldn't suggest staying here! Value, Staff, and location can not be beat.

What a remarkable gem in Downtown McKinney, TX. Genuine service from friendly people. Historic building situated in the old downtown surrounded by shops, entertainment, and dining. Although most shops seem to be open Friday- Sunday. I would recommend this hotel because of its historic appeal and ambiance. Rick’s Chophouse and Bar are accessible on the first floor. The rooms are grand and decorated in pure Texas. The room service is excellent too! Stay at The Grand Hotel and enjoy the square!

We had a wonderful time. Went with the Romance Package. Chocolate-covered strawberries and champagne at check-in, the dinner at Rick's. Dinner was fantastic, hotel room was extremely comfortable. We'll be back!
